According to Fire Regulations EN54-14 (CP10, BS5839, AS1670), ceiling voids require Fire Detection Sensors. Enclosed within suspended or false ceilings, they are commonly used in industrial, residential, business, and retail premises to manage both aesthetics and environmental conditions.
These spaces typically contain utility pipes and cables, including electrical wiring, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as mounted fixtures to maximise the use of space, such as lighting, security, and Fire Detection Systems. This complex arrangement creates potential fire risks: faulty electrical components; cable overheating from mechanical issues or pest damage; leaking pipes coming into contact with electrical equipment and causing short circuits; and dusty, dirty environments with buildup of flammable particles.

Conventional fire detection systems face several challenges: false alarms from smoke detectors due to dust and particles; delayed detection due to air conditioning and ventilation, which interferes with smoke; access issues for difficult-to-reach areas, for ongoing maintenance and testing; and ineffective point sensors if the source of the fire is not within their vicinity.
Rest assured, our Fire Detection System eliminates these “gaps” by continuously monitoring heat radiation along the sensing cable and recording and displaying it accordingly. Recognising a fire, it automatically activates pre-programmed protective measures, such as alarm signals, ventilation control, and fire suppression. When configured with smart alarms in conjunction with smart zones, it can be customised to suit your environmental conditions and integrate with emergency exits, ventilation, and suppression systems.
As the sensing cable has no moving parts and is immune to corrosion, vibrations, and electromagnetic interference, it has an extremely long lifetime, exceeding 30 years.
